Tips on Scrapbooking Past Memories
Are you caught up on your scrapbooking or do you have years of photos just waiting for you scrapbook? I know that I have many memories that have not “surfaced” to start scrapbooking but I am constantly working on present and past at that same time. Here are a few tips to help you as you scrapbook your past memories…
1. Sort through your past photos and decide what memory captures your interest to scrapbook now. Don’t worry that it isn’t in chronological order or how old the photos are.
2. Next decide if a 2 page layout or 1 page layout will capture your memory of that event. For years, I thought each page had to be a 2-page spread… it was totally “freeing” to give myself permission to create only a 1-page spread.
3. Then choose your photos, ephemera, papers and embellishments that help tell your photos story. Don’t worry if you don’t have the perfect papers or just the right embellishment, just remember it is telling the story that is important.
4. Then add your embellishments and don’t forget your journaling to really capture all of your memories.
