Tips on Scrapbooking your Heritage Albums
Do you have boxes of old photos? Are you intimidated to start scrapbooking those photos? The good thing is that there is no right or wrong way to make a family heritage album.
Here are some tips to help you on your way to scrapbooking those precious photos:
1. Grab the box of old photos, pick a few photos that interest you and just start!
2. Don’t worry about knowing all the details of the event or person who was photographed. If you are unsure of what the event was, why not journal about a special family story and include it in your layout? Add a meaningful quote or family saying.
3. Gather ephemera – family recipes, school report cards, marriage certificates, newspaper clippings, diplomas, etc. If you don’t want to use the original one in your layout take a photo or scan the document.
4. Gather personal stories from family memories. Write those family stories down and then include them in your layouts.
Take some time this week to start creating your family heritage album.
