Going Digital

What is digital scrapbooking?  It is using a graphics program/software and digital elements to create artwork and layouts.  Just as traditional scrapbooking allows you to create with ribbons, frames, bows and papers to embellish your pages, only this medium comes in digital files.  The wonderful thing about these files is that one element can be used in multiple ways by changing the color, enlarging it or erasing some of it to create a new embellishment to be used.  Now you can’t do that with traditional scrapbooking!

After you complete your layout or artwork, save and print using a numer of online services and even bind the pages together in an album form.    You can also print multiple pages of the same layout to give as gifts or frame and keep one in an album.

The advantages of creating digitally are:

You can share your layouts in print form or online.

You can erase mistakes easier than traditiona scrapbooking. With paper scrapbooking a mistake is harder to cover up.

Organization and space to store all the papers and embellishments are reduced as they reside on your computer.

You won’t be limited to be size of store bought embellishments or page accents.  You can recolor, resize and use the embellishment over and over again.
